Client Overview

The client is one of the leading players in South African property development with divisions in the leisure, commercial, and residential sectors. It has more than 50 years of industry experience and manages more than 35 vacation resorts in 5 countries and has numerous Owner and Member bases.

Problem statement

The client had three web applications that needed software testing to ensure that the main business functionality works as expected upon every release. It required the reduction of effort put into manual regression testing through test automation.

Solution

Inspired Testing’s expert team created a solution that could automate testing on the Chrome web browser using its UTA-H Selenium-based automation framework. The testing team was also responsible for maintaining the completed regression tests.

Before improvement

The client needed to reduce the number of hours spent on User Acceptance Testing by different departments. Daily functionality needed to be scripted into automated tests with the ultimate goal of having the automated scripts test existing functionality.

After improvement

Inspired Testing used an Agile approach to review and track the requirements backlog progress for each iterative cycle. The team created a phased approach to formulate a sustainable automated testing solution.
