Global software company Inspired Testing has successfully raised more than R17,000 for One Heart For Kids (www.oneheartforkids.co.za), a non-profit organisation that focuses on primary school literacy, healthy lifestyles and the equipping of young leaders through sport and education in Southern Africa.
One Heart For Kids normally raises funds through a family fun run at this time of year, but could not do so this year due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The charity drive, hashtagged #feed #reach #teach, took place during Mandela Day 2020, with Inspired Testing matching rand-for-rand whatever money was donated by its staff.
The money will be used for food parcels for needy, unemployed families, a literacy curriculum for under-resourced primary schools, and educational toys for needy children who have been unable to return to school during the lockdown.
“This was our opportunity, as a South African company, to help lift spirits all over the country during one of the toughest periods in our collective history,” says Jacques Fouché, CEO, Inspired Testing. “We are proud to have partnered with One Heart For Kids for this worthy project in honour of Mandela Day.”
